It is known for its well-preserved Spanish Baroque-influenced architecture, cobblestone streets, and beautiful churches. The city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. Visitors can explore the historic center, visit museums, stroll through colorful markets, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Antigua also serves as a base for exploring the nearby volcanoes, coffee plantations, and Mayan ruins.
- Tikal National Park: Tikal is an ancient Mayan city located in the northern rainforests of Guatemala. It was one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ruins of Tikal feature towering pyramids, temples, and palaces surrounded by lush jungle. Visitors can explore the extensive ruins, climb to the top of the temples for breathtaking views, and spot wildlife such as howler monkeys and toucans.
